The exhibition ‘The making of …’ (projects from the TextielLab) shows a selection of pieces from the museums collection. All pieces have been developed the past four years in the TextielLAb. Curator Caroline Boot of the Audax Textielmuseum Tilburg asked us to design the exhibition.

“The emphasis in ‘The making of …’ is on the entire developing process of the seventeen different projects, ranging from fashion to a chair and autonomous works. The layout takes the visitor backwards through the whole process. Starting at the end results, via the experiments from the TextielLab to the very first ideas, inspirations and sketches of the designers and artists. Little embroidered icons which refer to the actual collection pieces help the visitors way through the exhibition and make them able to follow the whole process of specific works. These embroideries are part of the overall graphic design of the exhibition, which we created as well, besides the concept, spatial and furniture design and color plan.
